We’re still on a Miss Universe high, and Ahtisa Manalo’s evening gown moment is one of the highlights pageant fans continue to talk about.
Stepping onto the stage with confidence, she wore a gown by Filipino designer Val Taguba. The look was the product of tight teamwork between Val, Ahtisa, and stylist Patty Yap, a collaboration that shaped one of the night’s most talked-about moments.
Val designed the silver gown with clean structure and precise craftsmanship in mind. The gown followed Ahtisa’s frame with intention, creating a straightforward silhouette supported by meticulous construction.
Its sculpted sweetheart corset, reinforced with visible boning and petal-like cups, perfectly framed Ahtisa’s body. The fully embellished mesh, delicate beadwork, and vertical crystal trails created definition, while the fine illusion panels gave the impression that the crystals were floating.
From every angle, the gown reflected not only Ahtisa’s grace but also the brilliance of Filipino design talent in the international spotlight.
