“Fascination with death!
“My collection is inspired by sequence of real or imaginary dreams, taking inspiration from my imagination,” Cebu-based designer Bree Esplanada shared about his Bench Fashion Week collection titled Phantasmagoria.
“Basically it is a showcase of what I see in my nightmares, and my “Fascination with death!”
“Phantasmagoria” transforms this designer’s fascination with surreal imagery into wearable fashion, channeling a theatrical and otherworldly spirit. His work explores the boundaries of beauty and the macabre, producing visuals that are haunting yet poetic.
Each masterpiece on the runway “embodies the tension between the beautiful and the eerie, the real and the imagined, echoing Bree’s artistic philosophy.”
With over 13 years of experience in fashion design, Bree has developed a distinct identity that straddles both fashion and art. A designer and illustrator, a Ternocon 3 finalist, and an alumnus of the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, he’s also known for his “Creative Hollow Illustration” style.
The designer also collaborated with Anthill Fabric Gallery, highlighting his commitment to Philippine textiles, sustainable fashion, and creative collaboration.
