Drag has shaped the way fashion evolves, inspiring bold silhouettes, expressive beauty, and a culture that values individuality. Many of today’s trends, from glitter-heavy glam to theatrical styling, trace their roots to drag’s influence. One of the biggest global platforms pushing this artistry forward is Drag Race, a global phenomenon known for celebrating talent, personality, and high-fashion creativity. The franchise has produced countless iconic looks, many of which have seeped into mainstream culture.
In relation to the Philippines, a recent milestone for our country is Brigiding’s win at Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale. Her achievement adds to the growing global recognition of Filipino drag, proving once again that local talent stands proudly on the world stage.

This November 22 to 23, Brigiding offers fans and fashion lovers an intimate experience through Bituing Maningning, a showcase of her most memorable looks. The exhibit features the pieces she wore on Slaysian Royale, select ensembles from Season 1, and special designs from fellow drag artists. It explores the stories behind each outfit, the teamwork that brought them to life, and the passion behind every stitch and stone.
As Brigiding shares, “Bituing Maningning is more than my story. It’s our story. It’s a love letter to the people who make drag possible: the collaborators, the creators, and the community, those who keep creating, keep believing, and always remind us to shine.” Another personal note from her adds, “Drag isn’t just a performance. It’s passion, storytelling, and survival. It’s how we turn our truths as queer artists into art and our art into pure radiance.”
The showcase also connects fashion with compassion. A portion of the proceeds will support Angat Buhay’s community programs in Cebu, creating a bridge between creativity and meaningful outreach.
