If there’s a star who knows how to make a fashion editorial photo shoot super light and fun, it is definitely STYLISH Magazine’s current cover girl Ruffa Gutierrez.
And we’re giving you snippets from our cover shoot for STYLISH Magazine.
First off, how sexy does Ruffa look in this couture number on our cover? The actress revealed during the taping of our upcoming podcast episode with her that she’s just lost a total of 16 pounds from exercise and proper nutrition. Ain’t it cool?
She’s donning a specially custom-made paisley printed gown with ruffled, puffed sleeves for the shoot, created by talented Filipino designer fashion designer Ruffy Itaas. It was commissioned by celebrity stylist Kathrina Vapor.
“The gown’s body portion has a mix of silver and black pleated corset,” the fashion designer shared with STYLISH.
For her first few layouts, Ruffa rocked her long hair in a feminine look.
“I just wanted to make the hair of Ruffa as beautiful as ever, by doing soft waves to perfectly complement her beauty. Timeless and classic,” hairstylist Renz Pangilinan shared in an interview with us.
For the third fashion look, Renz put the actress’ hair in a bun, but with a twist.
“For the updo, I opted for something modern, like a sleek version of a fingerwave updo. Sleek, chic and modern, yet still classic,” he added.
Jewelry labels Magical Gems and Lux Lourgie were chosen to add sparkle into the high fashion looks.
As for beauty direction, the look’s overall vibe was soft and glam.
“I would describe it as soft and elegant glam. Very age-appropriate, but keeping the youthful glow since Ruffa has a great skin. I just matched the makeup looks to the high fashion looks,” makeup artist Mark Qua said.
