An oversized button-down shirt is a must-have item in every closet, regardless of your style. While it may seem basic, it’s actually one of the most versatile items in your closet because it can be worn in so many ways. You can wear one to the office or to go out with friends, use one to complete your date look, try it as a beach coverup, or throw it on for effortless style while running errands. Honestly, we can’t think of a single circumstance where wearing one would be inappropriate.
But figuring out how to style an oversized button-down shirt can be perplexing–even for the most confident dresser. A too big button-down without the right pair may swallow your silhouette or look sloppy. Meanwhile, something too short or small will just look off.
