Traveling feels even more magical during the holidays. Whether it’s exploring a new city or soaking in traditions you’ve never experienced, the season has a way of making every place feel warmer, brighter, and more memorable. I’ve never personally experienced a country Christmas in Texas, but the charm, the lights, and the larger-than-life spirit are enough to make anyone curious about celebrating the holidays somewhere new.
GH Mall captures exactly that feeling this year as it officially opened the season with its Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, bringing together families, partners, and the community for an evening filled with warmth and celebration.
Held last November 14 at the East Wing Atrium, the ceremony was led by Ortigas Land President and CEO Junie Jalandoni and EVA Airways Corporation General Manager Rick Hsieh. They were joined by San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, RCBC Chief Commercial Officer Mylene J. Bico, and members of the Ortigas family. Their presence marked the start of a festive season meant to unite people through joy, tradition, and shared memories.
For Filipinos, Christmas is never subtle. It’s laughter ringing through crowded tables, kids rushing toward twinkling decorations, families strolling through bright streets and malls, and the familiar rhythm of Simbang Gabi echoing through the city. GH Mall brings that spirit to life, filling every corner with that unmistakable warmth we associate with being together.
This year’s theme, Holidays Around the World, turns the mall into a holiday destination inspired by global travel. GH Mall partnered with EVA Air to celebrate the airline’s newly launched Taipei–Dallas-Fort Worth route, adding a playful Texan twist to its towering Christmas tree. The design nods to the excitement of discovering cultures, exploring new cities, and dreaming up your next getaway.
The celebration also highlighted GH Mall’s commitment to community. Gifts were handed out to children under the care of San Juan City’s Social Welfare and Development Office, adding a meaningful layer to the festivities.
To make the season even more thrilling, RCBC launched its Holidays Around the World Raffle Promo, which runs from November 11, 2025 to January 15, 2026. RCBC credit cardholders who shop or dine at GH Mall can earn raffle entries for a chance to win EVA Air tickets to dream destinations.
With restaurants offering global flavors, international brands perfect for gifting, and the excitement of possible plane tickets, GH Mall becomes a one-stop holiday escape. It’s a place where people can gather, indulge, and enjoy a little taste of Christmas from around the world.
