Luxury authority Corso Como 88 adds another impressive label to their lineup as they bring Biagini Borse.
Founded in 2008 by Imelda Menguito and Valter Sciandra, Corso Como 88 is a multi-brand luxury house that carries a fusion of Italian high-end fashion brands such as Valentino, Etro, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, and Italian artisanal luxe brands created by authentic craftsmen from Florence and Milan. Initially created to casually source luxury bags from Italy and Europe in response to the requests of friends in Manila, the couple eventually opened their first flagship store in 2022 at Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig. Now with two brick and mortar boutiques, the second one in Ayala One in Makati City launched early this year, Corso Como 88 currently boasts of exclusive distributorship of authentic luxe Italian brands like Jiano Bags and Buti Italia.
The Italian-rooted multi-brand boutique is introducing another brand into their roster: Biagini Borse
Biagini Borse is lauded for its bags and leather goods that combine a carefree spirit with heritage craftsmanship. Corso Como 88’s founder Imelda Menguito-Sciandra personally fell in love with the brand.
“I discovered that the brand was from Modena, Italy. Eventually, I got to meet the owners of Biagini, the Amidei family, and they showed me how the bags were made. I was impressed with the level of craftsmanship that goes into each bag and knew that I had to bring it to the Philippines. Biagini was something that had to be shared to Filipino bag enthusiasts,” Imelda shared during its launch event recently.
Biagini Borse bags are from responsibly sourced animal skin. These are some of the finest leathers from the most discerning Italian tanneries. The brand also adheres to the European Economic Community (EEC) regulations regarding the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) when it comes to production.
The Manila launch of Biagini saw various fashion personalities and celebrities. Issa Pressman, Ruffa Gutierrez, Vanessa Matsunaga, businesswoman and scientist Pinky Tobiano, and Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee got a first look at the bags. They immediately noted its versatility for different styles and preferences.
As a primer on Biagini Borse, here are the five styles you should know about. Pick one as your everyday go-to statement, or if you’re like us, collect all of them for every mood.
