Sure, going out for a date night is a good idea to reconnect and catch up, but when life gets busy, an at-home date night is the perfect compromise. No need to worry about traffic, dressing up or long wait times at restaurants—just you, your favorite person, the couch and Netflix’s latest hit–what more could you ask for?
That said, at-home dressing can easily land you in a style rut—so to help you break free from sweatpants and pajamas, we turned to a couple of our favorite ladies on Instagram for some fresh at-home date-night outfit ideas.

Mini dresses are a wardrobe essential you can wear now and well into the future. The loose fit of this dress will keep you cool on a warm day and cute on your post-dinner walk.

We love this black skirt for an at-home date night because it looks more pulled together than your average shorts, and they’re super comfortable to wear. Pair it with a simple white top and jewelry of course!
If you want to dress your look up even more, add heeled flip-flops because they give you a little bit of height but are low enough to wear with ease.
