The arrival of the Gap x Sandy Liang collaboration in the Philippines captures fashion at its most personal, blending nostalgia, creativity, and modern self expression into a collection that feels both intimate and culturally relevant.

Launching locally this November 2025 under SSI Life, the limited-edition collection brings together Gap’s iconic American staples and Sandy Liang’s signature language of girlhood dressing. Known for her ability to balance softness with edge, Liang transforms familiar silhouettes into pieces that feel playful yet intentional, proving that everyday fashion can still carry emotional weight. The result is a wardrobe that speaks to women who dress with memory, mood, and meaning in mind.

At the heart of the collaboration is a shared sense of nostalgia. For Liang, Gap represents childhood aspiration, a brand she grew up admiring while imagining who she might become. That sentiment carries through the designs, where bow-adorned denim, relaxed tailoring, and reworked fleece nod to the past while staying firmly rooted in the present. These are clothes that feel lived-in yet expressive, designed to move seamlessly between generations and personal styles.

The story is further brought to life through an animated short film titled “Sandy’s Dream Closet,” created by visual artist Annie Choi. Set above Liang’s father’s Cantonese restaurant in New York’s Lower East Side, the film visualizes fashion as a space for dreaming, growth, and identity formation. It reinforces the idea that clothing is not just about trends, but about who we are and who we once imagined ourselves to be.

Key pieces from the collection include statement denim, reimagined outerwear, and cozy layers that elevate Gap’s everyday essentials into modern collectibles. Available exclusively at Gap SM Mall of Asia and online, the Gap x Sandy Liang collaboration feels timely, thoughtful, and deeply human. It is fashion rooted in memory, designed for the now, and worn as a form of self expression.
