Italian fashion powerhouse Gucci opened another store in the Philippines at The Shoppes at Solaire Resorts in Parañaque City, marking its third physical boutique in the country.

Top Filipino stars and fashionistas joined the party launching the new boutique, along with the unveiling of Gucci’s Lido and Pre-Fall 2025 collection. Anne Curtis, Gabbi Garcia, Sofia Andres, Marian Rivera, James Reid, Vernie Enciso, and Jarren Garcia were among the celebs spotted decked in all-Gucci outfits.

Inspired by the elegant and sun-drenched beach clubs of Italy, the Lido collection by Gucci puts the spotlight on spontaneity and fun reminiscent of Italian summers.

Immersive activities such as the fan-making workshop kept the guests entertained, along with the captivating exclusive look at the Lido collection.

The iconic Gucci Jackie and GG Marmont bags reimagined in straw-effect raffia and canvas, as well the Gucci Luce and Moon Side bags, were highlighted at the event.

Built in Florence, Italy in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, Gucci started as a leather goods workshop but thrived as a luxury label after World War II. In 1971, tailored hotpants and knee-length boots accessorized with a tote bag featuring the distinctive double-G motif on canvas epitomized the 1970s Gucci glamour.

When Tom Ford took control of Gucci in 1994, he shaped and reflected the culture of the 1990s, pushing the label into the fashion stratosphere as the most coveted brand of the era.

In March, Gucci appointed Demna as the new creative director, who’s set to leave his post at Balenciaga and be with Gucci by July this year.

“I have always admired Demna’s creative approach, that is both unique and powerful,” Stefano Cantino, CEO of Gucci, shared with the press in a statement. “His ability to honour the iconic legacy of a brand while embracing a modern sensibility is extraordinary. With Gucci’s strengthened foundations as a springboard, Demna will lead the house towards renewed fashion authority and enduring cultural relevance.”

In the Philippines, Gucci boutiques are located at Greenbelt 4 – Ayala Malls Greenbelt in Makati City,Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, and now at The Shoppes at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City.
