OMG! Celebrated Filipina socialite and actress Heart Evangelista has indeed been breaking barriers in the global high fashion scene. This time, the fashionista opened the runway show for UAE couture house Atelier Zuhra during the Fashion Factor event in Dubai’s Media City recently. The Omani heritage label has been known to dress up huge pop stars such as Beyonce, and stylish royals such as Lady Victoria Hervey.
The 5’2 stunner, internationally recognized for generating the highest media value impact in the recently held Paris Fashion Week Summer/Spring 2025 according to US Vogue Business, showed off her catwalk in a blush pink bejeweled asymmetrical couture dress by the label.
Her fashion show performance coincided with Fashion Factor, reportedly the United Arab Emirates’ biggest platform for designers across the world, which remarkably also honored the actress with the ‘Fashion Icon‘ award this season.
“A true style visionary, her passion for fashion shines in every day of her life. Heart’s world is both remarkable and inspiring; she is not just a fashion icon but also a generous advocate for others. Always concerned for those around her, her thoughtful approach leaves a lasting impact,” Fashion Factor wrote on Instagram.
“I wanna honor this award for those who came before me, for those who are here tonight, and to my fellow-Filipinos. Thank you very much,” Heart beamed during her speech as she accepted the award in a Michael Leyva gown right after her catwalk.
This is not the first time that Heart opened for an international couture house. Last March, the ‘Heart World’ star also walked for Vietnamese designer Phan Huy during his Paris Haute Couture Week debut with his “Lost in the Cavern” collection. She strutted the ramp in a sophisticated black sheer plunging gown.
Heart expressed her excitement in her Instagram story about her Paris Fashion Week runway debut, captioning it with, “Because who said ‘Little Miss’ can’t be on the runway? Thank you, Phan Huy, for making me open your show,” she wrote. In another story, she added “Small girl, big dreams.”
Seems like this global fashionista has proved once again that the catwalk isn’t just for the long-legged models.
