Heart Evangelista Shares Why Doing What You Love Leads to Progress

By Emily Opida

If you love something and you have so much passion for it and so much patience then everything will be a work in progress,” actress and global fashionista Heart Evangelista shared her thoughts in a small audience during the anniversary event of Filipino-founded makeup brand Absidy.

Passion is important when you want to excel in something according to Heart, adding, “You will truly achieve what you desire.”

An epitome of class, beauty and grace, Heart was luminous and radiant per usual, as she stunned in a pristine white coordinated outfit during the event. Her radiant, glowing skin made a great canvass for her dewy makeup.

Absidy, a sister company of Luxe Organix, is a makeup brand well-loved by beauty fans for its no-frill topnotch products that look so well on Filipina skin tone.

Manufactured by trusted makers in Taiwan, China and Korea, Absidy easily rocked the Filipino market with its premiere lipstick collection, Cashmere Kiss. It was well-applauded for its velvety formulation with creamy finish that sits so beautifully on the lips. The collection was reviewed by the Stylish Magazine team on its television format Stylish TV Special on iWantTFC and The Filipino Channel (TFC) during the brand’s first few months, with snippets you may watch at this STYLISH‘s YouTube clip here.

Heart couldn’t be more proud to see the journey and growth of Absidy, highlighting that passion has been the center of the work culture at this company.

You can truly see that the Absidy family loves what they do and everybody behind Absidy,” Heart shared during the event.

We’ve been through so much and to see Absidy significantly grow for a year, is just such a blessing to me, especially to be part of the family.”

The event was also the stage for the launch of Absidy’s new collection: Absidy Beauty Base®.

The collection is about achieving your flawless base: with Absidy‘s *new* weightless touch foundation, concealer, corrector, ambient filter complexion enhancer, and complexion blur translucent perfecting powder.

The event was a chic affair, drawing a stylish crowd of young beauty insiders—models, professional makeup artists, media personalities, and content creators who all effortlessly blended into the scene in muted tones of white, gray, and brown. It was an unspoken tribute to the brand’s dreamy, neutral aesthetic—sophisticated yet refreshingly understated.

Held at Fashion Interiors on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati, the venue exuded an artful mix of coziness and luxury, perfectly complementing Absidy’s vision: beauty that is both aspirational and attainable.

Every corner was a little lifestyle adventure. The glamorous photo booth made sure everyone got their best angle (or at least a few attempts at it!). The flower station let me channel my inner florist, picking fresh blooms to craft my own bouquet masterpiece. And then there was the makeup room, a dreamland where I handpicked my perfect foundation, blush, and lipstick. The best part? I got my name engraved on my very own foundation bottle. Matched with a superb culinary experience, the event made us all feel like VIPs!

The event’s dedication to details is a hint on how meticulous the brand is with their business and products, and how they cater to beauty fans.

This same commitment was echoed in the words of founder Aleisha Yap, who reflected on the years of preparation behind Absidy’s success.

“In your eyes, we’ve only been around for a year. But in my eyes, Absidy has been around for almost four years because it’s something I’ve worked on ever since, during the pandemic. I’ve really seen it grow from sketches on my iPad to now seeing it in stores,” she shared.

A makeup demo was featured too, showcasing the brand’s easy blend on the skin, reinforcing the philosophy that “makeup is supposed to enhance beauty,” as Aleisha shared in her exclusive STYLISH Magazine interview.

It’s as if the brand has not been generous enough with the whole immersive experience, as the night ended on a jaw-dropping note with a giveaway to the grand winner: an all-expense-paid trip for two to Japan. A testament to the brand’s commitment to making beauty a luxurious experience, and not just merely a product.

For me, this was more than just a launch—it was a statement. A brand that isn’t just selling makeup, but creating an experience. A celebration of inclusivity and beauty without bounds. It gives greater value to customers, no matter the price tag.

Friends, family, and guests—most especially Aleisha—reveled in the night’s magic. And me? I didn’t just leave with just freebies. I walked away with an impact that lingers and a lesson that stays!
