H&M Studio Collection SS25 Collection: Chic ’80s-Inspired Tailoring & Leisurewear Crossover

By Marane A. Plaza

Fierce corporate women from the 1980s meshed with the vibrant lifestyle of Los Angeles and Miami inspired the latest Studio Collection of H&M. Think ultra-strong shoulder pads for power suits for city dressing, plus fun, flirty dresses with bold prints perfect for the poolside scene this summer!

The H&M Studio Collection SS25 is made for the woman who knows how to work hard and play hard just in time for Women’s Month and the summer season, as the capsule puts the spotlight on sharp tailoring and leisurewear fashion crossover.

During the exclusive preview event at H&M’s Showroom in Makati, Philippines, the Swedish multinational fashion retailer featured the metro’s chicest stars donning the Studio Collection pieces. Catriona Gray, Bela Padilla, Elisse Joson, Andrea Torres, and Nicole Cordovez were some of the ladies who rocked the latest H&M Spring/Summer outfits during the exclusive event. The clothing pieces effortlessly merged the look of city pavements with poolside party looks with strong shoulder elements, a focus on the waistline, and some sporty details.

“For SS25, we looked to the power woman and imagined her whole day – not just corporate life – because her strength and sense of style goes beyond the 9-to-5. She needs it all: tailoring, statement dresses, shirting, easy separates and denim. But in a way that brings together gravitas and glamour,” said Linda Wikell, designer of H&M Studio.

Cotton-blend boucle, knitted Ottoman ribbed fabric, leather, and a special boucle-style denim lend some structure and texture throughout the collection. Meanwhile a color palette of corporate grey, greige, black, white, scarlet red and water blue signal a daring attitude.

Sharp coats that are reminiscent of bathrobes, business shirts and sexy bodysuits in one, as well as swimsuits that double as a going out tops are seen in the collection.

The key pieces reinforce the female silhouette while flirting with the executive lifestyle. The long black belted coat is crafted from a thin boucle fabric and has prominent shoulders.

The H&M Studio Spring/Summer 2025 Collection is available in H&M boutiques and website.
