The Admiral Hotel Manila ushered in the festivities with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting, a beloved tradition that brings the community together by the bay.

This year’s celebration centered on a distinctly Filipino theme, drawing inspiration from Paskong Pinoy and the memories that shape our idea of home during the holidays. The hotel’s breathtaking white and gold tree, adorned with capiz shells and handcrafted details, stood as the evening’s centerpiece, glowing softly like a modern parol and inviting guests to rediscover the stories and traditions they grew up with.

As the lights came to life, the atmosphere shifted into something beautifully familiar. A choir filled the space with classic holiday harmonies, followed by a stunning performance from the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra that elevated the night’s magic even further. The program felt like a gentle bridge between past and present, blending elegance with cultural nostalgia.

The culinary spread added its own layer of joy. Guests enjoyed cheese and charcuterie in delicate mini cups, tinapa sisig croquettes, lechon belly rolls, mixed berries, and more. A full cheese wheel made the rounds, while the much-loved Puto Bumbong station drew everyone in with its warm, comforting scent. It became a food-lover’s celebration as much as it was a holiday gathering, each dish echoing the familiar flavors of Filipino Christmastime.

The evening also welcomed special appearances, including Mayor Isko Moreno, who joined the crowd in celebrating the hotel’s tradition. Surrounded by music, food, and the glow of its capiz-studded tree, the Admiral Hotel’s Christmas celebration felt like a love letter to Filipino craftsmanship and the shared spirit that defines the season.
