“When a friend first sent us the photo, we honestly thought it was edited. Black and white eh,” the owner of Wadough’s recalled. It was only after news stories went live and fans began tagging them on social media that the delighted bakers realized they were part of the historic event.

Following the quick courthouse ceremony, the newlyweds treated an intimate circle of 12 guests to a private celebration at the Spanish restaurant Txoko Asador in Makati.
