Jewelry pieces are like your favorite pages of your diary– each one momentous as it represents a life-changing event such as the day you said yes to spending a lifetime with your significant other, or the moment you walked down the aisle toward your one true love. For some, a jewel signifies even a lifelong investment, a reminder of one’s hard work.
That’s why jewelry designer Emily Opida, founder and creative director of Emildific, believes that gearing towards investing in bespoke, personalized, intuitive designs when it comes to jewelry is a better option, rather than shopping for a random piece at a retail store.

“We cater our clients with jewelry pieces that are not commonly available in the market, as they usually come to us for custom-made jewelry, with designs that they personally envisioned for themselves– be it silver, gold, gemstones or diamonds. It’s our job at Emildific to execute their vision in their head into wearable pieces. But of course, with the incorporation of my professional input as a jewelry designer.”
Having finished one of her jewelry design courses in Singapore, Emily is even more confident about her strength in bespoke jewelry design. She officially completed her “Jewellery Design 1 Creative Drawing & Essentials” course at Jewellery Design & Management International School recently.
“I feel a lot of emotions for finally finishing my jewelry design course in Singapore. I am mainly ecstatic, blissful, and giddy! I’ve always wanted this direction in life, and being led to a good school, guided by amazing mentors, and receiving the official course certificate feels like arriving. It feels like both a confirmation and a permission by God that I can truly nourish the career I’ve started. I know this is also a start of a new phase, as I look forward to more exciting collaborations, future creations, and more clients who are happy and satisfied by our brand,” she shared.
For this designer, it’s an honor to be part of her clientele’s milestone whenever she translates their bespoke design request into a real jewelry masterpiece.

“I’m happy to be a part of the creation of each of my client’s bespoke jewelry piece. The details of each of the personalized jewelry reflects how my clients feel about their special moments in their lives. Like if it’s for a graduation of a child, or for an engagement of a couple, or for weddings, each jewelry piece is meant to embody and capture the emotions of our clients during those dear milestones and moments in their lives. It’s truly a gift to design for them.”
“Plus, jewelry pieces are always about nourishing human relationships, so I believe that jewelry pieces are meant to be personal. That’s our design philosophy at Emildific.”
Refined Design Aesthetic
Emildific has been catering its loyal clientele with personalized jewelry since 2021. She has since been a part of family events, friendversaries, business milestones, and leveled-up romantic relationships through the many bespoke jewelry designs she developed for her clients. And this brand’s creative director is elated to discover new facets of her aesthetic along the way.
“I have an eye for asymmetry, flowy lines, and organic shapes. I’m naturally drawn to movement rather than rigid structure. I also have a knack for color, that I could throw an assortment of gemstones in one piece, as I believe in ‘evoking feel good emotion’ in my designs,” Emily said when asked to describe her jewelry design aesthetic.

Her core as a bespoke jewelry designer is intuitive and adaptive.
“Because my business is focused on custom-made jewelry, my aesthetic is, of course, flexible. I design based on the client’s goal, like what do we mean to highlight here? Is it the neckline, the face, the personality, or the life milestone?”

“I’ve learned to study myself and what works visually, and apply that same awareness when designing for my clientele. I create with different personalities in mind– for the minimalist, the bold, the expressive, or the elegant. I see myself as not just a jewelry designer, but a jewelry stylist.”

“Lately, I’ve been inspired by quirky things, like food!” she said in jest. “I want to study the outlines of a steak, salmon, oyster even, seeing these natural forms can be exuded in memorable pieces.”
“At this stage too, I am strengthening the engagement and wedding ring segment of Emildific. We are refining our clientele’s overall experience, especially for men who are planning to design bespoke rings through our website. The goal is to guide them through one of the most meaningful jewelry decisions of their lives, with thoughtful designs backed up by premiere education in this craft, and a process that feels personal, calm, elegant, and assured.”
Indeed, just like a page of your diary, this designer wants to help you write your story through distinct jewelry pieces.
“To me, a jewelry piece becomes more meaningful when it carries a special message. The shapes and silhouettes of a jewelry can hold personal symbolism. That’s like customized magic,” she concluded.
