I came from the generation where Lola Amour was still starting out and playing during our university weeks (shout out, DLSU!). Our univ week productions were already pretty solid back then, and having them in the lineup felt like catching lightning in a bottle, you just knew this band was going somewhere big.
Fast forward to today, and here they are releasing their sophomore album Love On Loop, proof that they’ve grown into one of OPM’s most exciting names.

The album is such a vibe for all kinds of moods, it’s eight tracks of love in every form: the rush of a crush, the sting of heartbreak, and the relapses we’ve all fallen into at least once. With You shines the brightest, carrying this warmth and vulnerability that feels like the soundtrack to your best late-night walks or quiet moments after a date.
What’s cool is that Lola Amour is expanding globally while keeping their Filipino core intact. They’ve collaborated with New Zealand artist RIIKI REID on One Day Away and with Japanese collective KOKORO of Psychic Fever from EXILE TRIBE on The Moment, produced alongside hitmakers Hyuk Shin and Cuurley. It’s the same funk-pop energy we know them for, now with layers of international polish.

And of course, we’ll never forget the old anthems. Pwede Ba still hits with the same magic, and Fallen will always be the song that had everyone feeling their love story was worth a movie montage. This new album stands right beside those classics, showing how far they’ve come without losing the heart we first connected to.
To celebrate, they’re taking Love On Loop to the stage with a special concert on September 12 at One Ayala, where fans can experience the full record live alongside their biggest hits. For those of us who watched them back in college, it’s a full-circle moment, seeing a band that was once part of our campus memories now lighting up arenas.
So whether you’ve been there since day one or you’re only just discovering them now, hit play on Love On Loop, because some bands just belong on repeat.
