Longchamp’s Le Cadence Is the Bag You’ll Want on Repeat

A new handbag has entered Longchamp’s Fall/Winter 2026 lineup, and its name gives away the idea behind it: Le Cadence is about keeping up.

The Maison’s latest design takes the soft, easy shape of a handbag and gives it enough versatility to follow a packed day. Its silhouette has a natural drape rather than a stiff structure, making it feel relaxed from the moment you pick it up.

The real draw, however, is the leather. Le Cadence is made from full-grain cowhide, with a smooth, velvety feel that only becomes more appealing the closer you look. Longchamp leaves the bag unlined, exposing the full thickness of the leather and letting its texture become part of the finished design.

There’s no shortage of thoughtful details. The familiar Longchamp flap is paired with pale gold-toned hardware, while a double-flap closure keeps the body soft and lightly structured.

Then there’s the way you can carry it. Le Cadence comes in two sizes, and its adjustable strap lets it switch from hand-held to arm-carried to cross-body in seconds. One bag, several ways to wear it and no need to change bags every time your plans do.

The colours keep things equally wearable: black, burgundy, mocha, dulce, and vanilla.

Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp’s Creative Director, imagined Le Cadence as the bag you instinctively grab when you are heading out the door, whether that means a hectic weekday or a slow weekend wandering around Paris.

And perhaps that is the point. Le Cadence doesn’t need to be the loudest thing you’re wearing. It just needs to be the one you keep reaching for.
