Heritage, craftsmanship, and boldness are the themes of the latest high jewelry collection of Louis Vuitton named “Virtuosity” — as seen in its first 110 pieces unveiled in Mallorca, Spain recently. Top clientele and fashion stars flew to a private runway event and trunk show at Bellver Castle in Palma.
Some of the celebrity guests spotted at the event were Urassaya Sperbund, Mina Shin, Jin Chen, Ayami Nakajo and Heart Evangelista, all adorned in “Virtuosity” jewelry pieces.

Majestic diamonds and precious stones designed in intricate jewels debuted on the models, who were also donning custom looks from the collections of Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of womenswear Nicolas Ghesquière.

The second part of the series saw the pieces designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director for watches and jewelry, who exited her role last March.
Other part of the event saw top clientele such as Filipino fashion icon Heart Evangelista getting a more exclusive look at the high jewelry pieces.

The Louis Vuitton “Virtuosity” high jewelry collection was unveiled through the first chapter, presented in two parts titled “The World of Mastery” and “The World of Creativity.”
Part of “The World of Mastery” is the Savoir necklace, which has a distinct triangle-cut in the middle, highlighting an Australian black opal. This precious stone reportedly weighs 30.56 carats, and balanced with a 28.01-carat emerald drop. This series focused more on heritage in terms of design approach.
Another favorite from “The World of Mastery” edition of the “Virtuosity” collection is the Apogée necklace.

Meanwhile, the Apogée necklace features a 30.75-carat Brazilian pear-cut emerald, matched with a D Flawless diamond at 10.56-carat.

“The World of Creativity” is focused on fluid and chromatic designs as a dynamic artistic expression. The Aura necklace is one of the scene-stealers from the second part of the series.

The Eternal Sun necklace is the conclusive piece of Virtuosity, which is composed of rare yellow diamonds sourced ultracarefully over seven years. It was crafted in a way that the brilliance and the depth of color of the stones are meant to catch attention.

Known as a travel accessories brand with deep roots in luxury trunks and leather goods during its conception in 1854, Louis Vuitton has since expanded into a luxury fashion powerhouse with womenswear and menswear.
It was no surprise though that it eventually introduced a jewelry line in 2001 under the leadership of Marc Jacobs, showcasing charm bracelets. By 2004, LV formally launched its first-ever jewelry collection called the “Emprise Collection.” And later in 2008, the high jewelry art of LV was unveiled named “Les Ardentes” collection.
Starting 2013, Louis Vuitton has formally turned its jewelry range into its own division, launching high jewelry collections annually. The monogram pattern of LV which has been a signature design element of the brand patented in 1896 can be seen in some of its jewelry.
In the Philippines, Louis Vuitton boutiques are located at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City, Greenbelt in Makati City, and at NUSTAR in Cebu. You may also learn more thru https://louisvuitton.com.
