Models were in good spirits strutting down the runway wearing NIñOFRANCO clothing label by renowned Filipino indigenous fashion designer Wilson Limon for ‘Marry Me At Marriott’ 10th anniversary event. They were all smiles donning Filipiniana formal wear in feel-good colors blue and pink, walking to the classic Original Pinoy Music (OPM) song of “Panalangin” by Apo Hiking Society.
“These are our 7-piece formal wear collection for @ninofranco.ph. I’m used to creating ready-to-wear pieces, and ‘Marry Me at Marriott’ was a great experience to experiment and try something new and different. Injecting local craftsmanship into contemporary designs is definitely fresh to the eyes,” Nino Franco shared.
Limon’s runway presentation at the ‘Marry Me At Marriott” 10th anniversary was probably the most feel-good one among the fashion labels, as one could not help but smile looking at the indigenous formal creations. The romantic vibe of a wedding is captured in the show, while Limon’s flawless take on the bridal Filipino formal is definitely a fresh take. Personally, I could not believe this is the first time Wilson is designing or showcasing a formalwear collection.
Wilson Limon is set to showcase a new runway collection in New York on September 7 for #Filipinxt.
