Who needs velvet ropes and VIP invites when fashion week comes with an egg hunt? Diesel’s Spring 2026 presentation at Milan Fashion Week was less about seats and more about streets, proving that style can be playful, democratic, and a little bit egg-centric.

Instead of the usual catwalk, creative director Glenn Martens turned Milan into one giant game. Thirty-four models were sealed inside transparent egg-shaped capsules, each showcasing the brand’s newest looks. The eggs were scattered across 18 very Diesel-coded locations—think gardens, mechanic shops, clubs, and even sex shops. Registered participants had three and a half hours to track them all down using QR code clues. Nearly 5,000 people signed up, and the first five to crack the hunt won full custom Diesel outfits.

For everyone else? The eggs were impossible to miss, dotting Milan’s streets like otherworldly Fabergé capsules, giving passersby front-row access to the collection. Martens summed it up perfectly: “Fashion is a game and we are playing it: everybody gets to be on the front row.”

And the collection itself? True to Diesel’s DNA, it fused raw rebellion with reinvention. Denim was bleached for an “X-ray effect,” chiffon frayed into gossamer edges, biker straps “exploded” off tailoring, and a new “satin denim” fabric shimmered like silk while still feeling lived-in. Colors leaned bold—purples, limes, and icy blues—pushing the brand’s upcycled, distressed aesthetic into something shinier and more subversive.

Diesel has long blurred the lines between spectacle and accessibility—past shows included Zoom-powered front rows and free rave parties—but this season, the gimmick was all about the egg. An idea so simple, so surreal, and so Diesel: fashion cracked open for everyone.
