MFW SS26: Fendi’s Beads, Blooms, and Bursts of Color

By Dara Clariza Evangelista

Fendi’s Spring 2026 collection at Milan Fashion Week was a maximalist dream, bursting with beads, flowers, and colors so bold they felt almost alive. It was everything we love about the house: playful, daring, and endlessly joyful.

Silvia Venturini Fendi transformed the runway into a kaleidoscopic playground, where vibrant hues collided with unexpected textures. Electric blues, sunny yellows, candy pinks, and rich browns came together in looks that were anything but quiet. Balloon hems added breezy drama to coats and blazers, while fishtail skirts floated in sheer fabrics. Masculine tailoring met feminine softness in boxy blazers tied with pink leather straps, tuxedo-bibbed blouses, and printed shirt dresses.

The florals were unforgettable. Daisies and peonies exploded into larger-than-life prints, sculpted cut-outs, and even faux-fur jackets in warm chestnut. One standout moment was a plush brown coat embroidered with oversized white daisies, paired with a matching beaded bag that felt like carrying a bouquet in your hands. Another was a sheer yellow blouse and skirt peppered with cut-out daisies, sunshine in wearable form, radiating lightness and joy.

Texture and craft turned the collection into a tactile feast. There was the electric-blue crochet polo dress that balanced sportiness with artisanal charm, styled with matching sock-shoes and a structured white bag. A voluminous patchwork coat, meanwhile, looked like a mosaic of jewel-toned squares, rich in velvet texture and paired with an equally bold geometric tote. Even the softer pieces carried their own punch, like a gray silk dress lit up by cascading pleated pink ruffles, or sheer pink layers with a bow-tied neckline that whispered romance with every step.

Accessories carried as much energy as the clothes. Oversized totes came alive in blocks of turquoise, chocolate, and red. Bucket bags dangled with chunky beads and glossy discs that felt sculptural and fun. The iconic Baguette appeared in a bubblegum-pink, hand-beaded floral version that practically vibrated with joy. And in true Fendi fashion, there was humor too, a fuzzy fried-egg bag charm swinging playfully against a black tote, proving that maximalism can still be cheeky.

Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s jewelry shimmered in coral-shaped FF earrings, enamel nugget pendants, and filigree cuffs, all adding to the sense of delight and discovery. Together, every piece in this collection, whether coat, dress, or accessory, felt like a burst of happiness, proof that craft and color can be playful without ever losing luxury.

Fendi’s Spring 2026 wasn’t just a show, it was a technicolor fantasy, an ode to beads, blooms, and all-out color. It was maximalism with a wink, and a reminder that fashion is at its best when it’s bright, bold, and unafraid to take up space.
