NYFW SS26: 6 Looks We Loved From Diotima’s Show

By Dara Clariza Evangelista

Rachel Scott’s Diotima once again delivered a show that was equal parts powerful and poetic at New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the spirit of Carnival, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection played with texture, craft, and shape in ways that felt both rebellious and beautiful. Here are six standout looks we can’t stop thinking about:

1. The Ruffled White Dream

This opening look paired a crocheted mesh bodysuit with cascading tiered white ruffles that floated as the model walked. The crocheted hood gave it a futuristic twist, almost like a modern-day warrior goddess.

2. Black But Make It Drama

A black sleeveless top with padded shoulders grounded a tiered ruffle skirt, but the real punch came from the bold oversized pearl choker at the neck. The underlayer of fishnet leggings kept it in conversation with Diotima’s signature mesh textures.

3. Tailoring With Texture

One of the sharper moments was this mix of a cropped black blazer and a sheer mesh hood, styled with a mustard fringe and boucle skirt. It was tailored yet playful, proving that Diotima knows how to balance polish with edge.

4. A Neon Surprise

This was one of the show’s most energetic looks: a black sleeveless tunic and pants disrupted by bursts of acid-green fringe at the shoulder and hip. The color pop was electric, keeping the Carnival influence front and center.

5. The Sculptural Red Dress

A voluminous cocoon-like dress in bold red, made from curly textured fabric, instantly commanded attention. With thick navy piping at the straps and a sheer pink layer underneath, it struck that perfect mix of playful and powerful.

6. The Angelic White Gown

To close on a softer note, this white halter gown in textured fabric flowed into a bubbled hemline, giving it a sculptural elegance. It felt airy and pure, a serene counterpoint to the collection’s louder moments.

Diotima’s Spring/Summer 2026 show was proof of Rachel Scott’s genius: rebellious yet refined, rooted in Caribbean history but elevated for the runway. Every look carried exuberance, texture, and power.
