Original Penguin marks 70 years of timeless style with a nostalgic new capsule collection and a special 70s-themed pop-up at SM Mall of Asia.

From vintage golf courses to modern-day streetwear, Original Penguin has come a long way, and this year, the iconic brand is celebrating seven decades of timeless style with a new capsule collection that brings its signature charm into the now.

Founded in 1955 and first worn by legends like Frank Sinatra and Clint Eastwood, Original Penguin has always been more than just clothing, it’s a statement of personality, wit, and effortless cool. In the Philippines, the brand has become a favorite of stylish personalities like Kryz Uy, Kuya Kim Atienza, Ryan Bang, Jason Abalos, and Gretchen Ho, who each bring their own flair to the classic looks.

The 70th Anniversary Collection draws from the brand’s archives, reviving classic silhouettes with modern tailoring, lighter fabrics, and updated colorways. From polos to lifestyle pieces, it’s a nod to the brand’s heritage and an invitation to today’s modern man to make it his own. The collection also debuts a refreshed Pete the Penguin logo, setting the tone for the brand’s next chapter while staying true to its roots.

To bring the celebration closer to home, Original Penguin Philippines is launching the ‘70s Lounge’ pop-up at their SM Mall of Asia store from July 23 to 27, 2025. Inspired by the retro archives of the brand, the lounge is a space where fashion and nostalgia meet, showcasing not just the new collection but also Pete the Penguin’s evolution through the years.

“This milestone is about more than just looking back,” said Cheryl Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of Anthem, the exclusive distributor of Original Penguin in the Philippines. “It’s about honoring our story and continuing to evolve alongside a new generation of Filipino fans.”
