There’s nothing quite like the comfort of home. The soft textures, the quiet moments, the feeling of being completely at ease, it’s a luxury in its own right. At Paris Fashion Week, Nicolas Ghesquière tapped into that universal intimacy, reimagining Louis Vuitton not for the red carpet, but for the living room, the chalet, or even the deck of a yacht.

For a house so often associated with grandeur and futuristic silhouettes, this collection was a gentle pivot. Louis Vuitton leaned into warmth, showcasing pieces that spoke to self-expression in private spaces as much as public ones. “In praise of intimacy, dressing for yourself first,” Ghesquière explained backstage, capturing the spirit of a season where cozy could be couture.

The runway lineup was plush and playful. There were coats with teddy-bear textures and bathrobe shapes, fuzzy knits paired with drop-crotch shorts, and toga-like dresses draped in gorgeous fabrics. He experimented with hybrids, turning a camel coat into a romper, and decorating silk robes with jewel-like embroidery that shimmered under the lights.

Details mattered, too. Embroidered tabards resembled floral mosaics, while the closing looks, fringed ensembles made of thousands of beaded strands, blurred into impressionistic garden landscapes as models walked. At the other end of the spectrum, simplicity reigned with roomy silk pants, glossy brocade socks paired with sandals, and easy cotton tops that carried Vuitton’s stamp of refinement.

As always, setting played a role in the storytelling. The show unfolded in restored 17th-century apartments within the Louvre, once belonging to Anne of Austria. Guests experienced the gilded ceilings and antique furnishings curated by decorator Marie-Anne Derville, while Cate Blanchett’s reading of Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place” underscored the theme: home as both grounding and glamorous.

With celebrity guests like Zendaya and Emma Stone in attendance, the night embodied the blend of exclusivity and ease that Vuitton has mastered. For Spring 2026, Ghesquière proved that luxury isn’t only about spectacle, it can also be about serenity, the quiet joy of feeling at home in what you wear.
