If there’s one thing Miss Universe 2015 titleholder Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey does well, it is to be a show-stopper in an intricate couture gown. That’s some real eternal beauty queen energy right there.
Recently, the beauty pageant titleholder turned fashion influencer has been making news as she flaunted some fashion looks at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, which took place from May 13 to May May 24, 2025 at the Boulevard de la Croisette in France.
Cannes suddenly announced its last-minute red carpet policy regarding dress code, challenging some stars to creatively follow the new fashion rules at the biggest film festival event in the world.
Seemingly unfazed was, of course, the Pia Wurtzbach. Always serving regal, elegant looks, there’s not much to adjust in her styling just to follow the Cannes fashion rule book.
We’re a big fan of Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, so seeing a creation by Murad worn by an iconic Filipina star is just divine.
Pia got papped at the Cannes 2025 red carpet event in a lovely black velvet long-sleeved gown. The bodice of the high-neckline dress is embellished with rhinestone crystals, and pearls.
It has a dramatic open back, still exuding sexiness but in a sophisticated way.
Pia appeared to also have engagements with L’Oreal at the prestigious event as one of the brand ambassadors. The international beauty brand was all over Cannes with their promotional integrations.
Indeed, Pia is on the way to being one of the top fashion influencers in the world who knows how to keep outsiders on their toes and wait for her next fashion shenanigans.
