Ethereal beauty meshed with traditional Filipino romance were the theme felt during the fashion show presentation of Heleyna Bridal Atelier at the Style Visionary Runways Manila by Stylish Magazine and Coro Hotel.
Held at the Fusion Forum of Coro Hotel in Poblacion in Makati City, the models strutted the runway to the tune of the song Tahan by New Game+ in whimsical bridal dresses, with intricate floral embellishments and contemporary Filipino Terno design details.
Janina Saspa, the talented fashion designer and founder behind Heleyna Bridal Atelier, also incorporated her infamous embroidered words onto the couture pieces. Some of her brides would often have their wedding vows or romantic lyrics of theme songs embroidered onto their bridal gowns, a sense of ingenuity the bridal studio has been known for.
“The collection’s titled “Pamamanhikan” which is an ode to traditional Filipinos asking the parents for hand of the bride in marriage, with written promises of life full of romance,” Janina shared in an interview with STYLISH Magazine.
“Some pieces were hand-painted, with visuals of cocoon for orchids. We used different bridal laces, and embroidery details.”
The other fashion designers featured during the recent Style Visionary Runways Manila along with Heleyna Bridal by Janina Saspa were Anna Cheung Couture by Joanna Fungo, and Fred Telarma.
Style Visionary Runways Manila is the in-house fashion show production of Stylish Magazine officially launched in April 2023, with a debut show in partnership with SM Supermalls.
The recent Style Visionary Runways Manila edition is in partnership with Coro Hotel.
