At first glance, Tory Burch’s Resort 2027 collection seems to have a lot going on. Florals, cargo pants, shimmering jacquards, weathered leather and bright, spice-inspired colors all make an appearance. But somewhere within the mix, it finds its rhythm.
Tory Burch describes the collection as having an “everything but the kitchen sink” sensibility, a season where familiar ideas are brought together in ways that are a little strange, a little unexpected, and never too carefully matched.

Classic pieces remain at the heart of it. There are crisp shirts, cardigans, pencil skirts, dickey sweaters and reversible trench coats, providing a sense of structure amid the collection’s more eccentric details. Shirtdresses reference midcentury dressing, finished with covered buttons and belts sitting low on the hip, while draped rosette tops, skirts and dresses bring a softer, more sculptural element to the season.
Then there is the texture. Iridescent jacquards, laminated ribbon lace and shimmering Lurex sit alongside deliberately “pilled” knits, crisp paper cotton and striped poplin washed until it feels comfortably lived-in. Leather takes on several personalities, appearing tie-dyed, crushed into patent finishes or brushed with color to create a raw, weathered look.
The same sense of contrast runs through the palette. Saffron, lime, ube, paprika and sumac bring an almost hyperreal burst of color, balanced by quieter shades of mushroom, brown and khaki. Elsewhere, molten reds and garden greens add to the intensity. It is a palette that could have easily become overwhelming, but the earthy neutrals keep everything from tipping too far.

Resort 2027 also revisits some ideas from recent seasons. Low-slung leather skirts return with a high-gloss, burnished finish, while pleated skirts are cut through with sharp, precise edges. There is a feeling of looking back without simply repeating what came before.

That extends to the accessories. The Buddy Bag, named after Burch’s father and inspired by a vintage dopp kit, returns in patchworked metallics and tiger-striped calf hair. The mini Charlie shoulder bag is designed to sit neatly under the arm, while the brand continues its partnership with women’s artisan collective Marasim through fringed totes handwoven from raffia and leather.

Footwear takes a similarly unexpected route. Multi-buckle sandals appear throughout the collection in black, lilac and tie-dyed leather, while flat boots and pumps are given rubberized finishes. The practical, waterproof detail feels almost out of place against the shine and femininity of the clothes, which is exactly why it works.

The accessories invite a little more play. Resin flower earrings, chokers and cuffs are worn as coordinated sets, with cuffs stacked on both wrists. Hand-braided belts return in multicolored leather and soft webbing, while browline glasses and oversized square frames bring in a touch of 1950s-inspired charm.
There are plenty of contrasts throughout the collection, but they come together naturally. Utility pieces soften the more feminine looks, glossy leather sits alongside worn-in textures, and the brighter colors are balanced by earthy neutrals. Nothing is overly coordinated, and that gives the collection much of its character.

For Resort 2027, Tory Burch seems less interested in perfect coordination than in the pleasure of getting dressed. It is about putting things together, changing your mind, adding one more unexpected detail, and discovering that the combination somehow works.
There is plenty to look at. But more importantly, there is a sense of personality in every layer.
