The atmosphere inside the MGI hall in Bangkok was electric, charged with the high-octane glamour expected of the inaugural Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars. It was a night designed to celebrate the “best of the best”—former delegates who had returned for a second chance at glory. However, the evening shifted from a standard display of pageantry into a historic moment of raw, unfiltered human connection when Gazini Ganados stepped forward for the Top 5 Question and Answer portion.
In an industry often critiqued for rehearsed perfection and safe, diplomatic responses, Ganados chose a path of radical vulnerability. When the spotlight hit, the Filipina-Palestinian beauty bypassed the usual platitudes of “world peace” to address a visceral, personal reality.

“My family is still stuck in Gaza, and now that I’m fighting for their lives, I just want to do my best, be their representation, and raise their flags, just like who I am today as a Filipina-Palestinian,” she declared, her voice wavering with emotion but anchored by a visible strength.

With those words, the competition was no longer just about a sash or a crown; it became about the weight of identity. Ganados transformed the stage into a global megaphone, centering her performance on the humanitarian crisis touching her own bloodline. It was a definitive “All-Star” moment—one where the candidate used the platform not to serve her own image, but to serve a narrative much larger than herself.
The visual storytelling was equally potent. Clad in a gilded masterpiece by designer Rian Fernandez, Ganados was a walking tribute to her dual heritage. The gown featured intricate Filipino pinukpok metalwork—a nod to the artisanal heritage of the Philippines—seamlessly woven with the traditional patterns of the Palestinian keffiyeh. It was fashion as diplomacy, a deliberate aesthetic choice that mirrored the courage of her spoken words. By the time she finished her response, the room sat in a heavy, respectful silence, acknowledging a queen who had transitioned from a competitor to a symbol of resilience.

While the final scoring—a combination of judge evaluations and public voting—ultimately placed her in the Top 5, Ganados’ impact was undeniable. She proved that the true value of an All-Star format is the ability for seasoned women to return to the stage with a clearer sense of purpose and a refusal to be silenced.
THE ALL-STAR TOP 5

The inaugural edition of MGI All Stars saw a fierce battle among the world’s most iconic delegates. The final results reflected a diverse array of advocacy and talent:
- The Winner: Vanessa Pulgarin (Colombia)
- 1st Runner-Up: Faith Maria Porter (Ghana)
- 2nd Runner-Up: Huong Giang (Vietnam)
- Top 5 Finalists: Gazini Ganados (Philippines) and Sophia Maria Osako (Czech Republic)
Gazini Ganados may not have walked away with the golden crown, but she left with something far more enduring: a legacy of authenticity. Through her fearless final answer, she ensured that the story of MGI All Stars 2026 would be remembered for more than just its winner—it would be remembered for the voice that dared to speak the truth.
