A million girls would kill for a sequel to 2006’s “The Devil Wears Prada” and reportedly, all our fashion dreams are going to come true. Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt are planning to return and reprise their roles in the continuation of the cult film, according to reports.
The film based on the book of the same title left us hanging whether Andi would go back to fashion journalism. According to reports though, Anne Hathaway did not confirm her return in the sequel.
“I don’t think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen,” Hathaway told E! News in March. But she’s grateful for how beloved the movie still is, adding, “The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it’s the love that everybody pours to it.”
However, the sequel’s plot details are said to focus on Miranda Priestly by Streep, as she faces the decline of the once super successful magazine publishing business.
Blunt’s Emily Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive at a luxury fashion group, will apparently save Runway Magazine with big advertising dollars, as Priestly is aimed at proving “everyone still wants to be her.”

The film based on book author’s Lauren Weisberger‘s brief stint at Vogue as editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s assistant, reportedly took inspiration from real life experiences with the infamous magazine editor.
One question in mind though. Would Emily finally make it to Paris this time?
