In the world of luxury interiors, a home is more than just a collection of exquisite furniture—it is a reflection of the woman who nurtures it. This season, Opulence Design Concept elevated the Mother’s Day narrative, moving beyond simple gestures to celebrate the multi-faceted essence of the modern mother: as a host, a stylist, and a constant force of elegance.
Through a series of curated experiences, owners Gerry and Jinky Sy transformed their Greenbelt 5 showroom into a sanctuary where design, hosting, and fashion converged.

The Subtle Power of Presence
The celebration began with a focus on the home’s emotional depth. Partnering with IDr. Vianca Añonuevo Favila for the Interior Designer Spotlight, the showroom featured a breathtaking tribute to the Fornasetti Collection.
“A mother’s presence is subtle but lasting,” Favila noted, drawing a parallel between the timeless, recurring muse of Fornasetti and the quiet strength of a mother’s influence on a space. Jinky Sy echoed this sentiment, noting that the thoughtful arrangement of a home directly influences how children carry themselves into the world.
The Artistry of Hosting
For the woman who views the dining table as her canvas, Opulence partnered with Chemist Pinky Tobiano, CEO of Progressive Laboratories, for The Artistry of Hosting.

Alongside entrepreneur Cat Arambulo-Antonio, Tobiano led an intimate workshop on tablescaping and the “gracious art” of entertaining. The afternoon was a masterclass in intentional beauty, featuring a floral centerpiece workshop by Petals of Love. It wasn’t just about decor; it was about creating an atmosphere where guests feel “warm, lived-in, and loved”—the very definition of a mother’s touch.
Opulence in Motion: A Fashion Evolution
Capping off the series was a historic first for the brand: a foray into fashion. Opulence unveiled its first-ever fashion collaboration with Filipino designer Andrea Tetangco.
The capsule collection, titled “Opulence in Motion,” is a study of the modern woman—multifaceted and constantly evolving. The runway presentation at Greenbelt 5 featured a powerhouse trio: lawyer and host Atty. Karen Jimeno, interior designer Grace Tan, and Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters.
The collection captures the “beauty of contrast”—grace paired with resilience, and structure softened by ease. It is a wardrobe designed for the woman who is the heart of her home but never stays still.
A Limited Engagement
For those looking to bring a piece of this elegance into their own wardrobes, the Opulence in Motion collection is exclusively available at the Opulence Design Concept Greenbelt 5 showroom until June 14.
In this series of celebrations, Opulence Design Concept proved that motherhood isn’t just a role—it’s a design philosophy, an aesthetic, and a lasting legacy of style.
