The Reva Gets an Edge: Tory Burch Unveils Its Punk Evolution

By Joy Agoylo

Classic never goes out of style, but it can always surprise you.

For Summer/Pre-Fall, Tory Burch introduces the Reva Punk, a fresh take on one of the brand’s most recognizable shoes. To celebrate the launch, the label transformed Reactor, an underground music venue inside Shanghai’s C.park, into the home of the “REVA PUNK PARTY,” an evening where fashion and music came together under one rebellious mood.

Leading the celebration was brand ambassador Song Yuqi, who also fronts the new seasonal campaign. The K-pop star took the stage for a live performance, joined by musicians 9M88 and Moon Tang, giving guests more than just a fashion presentation. It was an event built around energy, movement, and individuality.

The Reva Punk takes the familiar silhouette of the original Reva ballet flat and pushes it in a bolder direction. Signature details like the iconic medallion remain, but they’re paired with punk-inspired hardware, including grommets, layered straps, and mismatched buckles. The result is a shoe that feels tougher without losing the elegance that made the original a wardrobe staple.

The collection arrives in two distinct styles.:

  • The Reva Punk Travel Ballet reimagines the everyday flat with a flexible, travel-friendly design, blending all-day comfort with the collection’s signature punk-inspired details.
  • The Reva Punk Heeled Ballet features a low block heel and removable double-layered ribbons that wrap around the ankle, balancing soft femininity with bold hardware.

The contrast between delicate ribbons and industrial hardware creates a balance that feels both modern and unmistakably feminine.

The party itself echoed the shoe’s bold personality. Guests stepped onto a silver medallion-inspired set, while metallic details carried through the venue, from the photo area to the DJ booth and even the dance machines. Every corner reflected the same rebellious energy behind the Reva Punk.

With Song Yuqi leading the campaign, Tory Burch gives one of its most recognizable designs a fresh perspective. The Reva Punk stays true to the original while embracing a bolder attitude, proving that even a classic can find new life without losing what made it iconic in the first place.
