Move over, matching hoodies. Zendaya and Tom Holland just took couple’s style to a whole new, high-fashion universe. At the London premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the duo proved once again why they rule the red carpet, opting for a subtle, incredibly chic nod to their superhero franchise: matching custom spider brooches.

It is method dressing at its absolute finest—effortless, clever, and undeniably stylish.

The Breakdown: High-Jewelry Horror (But Make It Fashion)

The beauty of the look was in the execution. Instead of matching outfits, they matched intention, using world-class jewelry to tell a story.

  • Zendaya’s Spine-Tingling Tamara Ralph Couture: Zendaya turned heads in a jaw-dropping Champagne-silk gown. But the real magic happened when she turned around. Nestled perfectly at the base of her spine was a stunning, diamond-encrusted gold spider brooch designed by Keren Wolf. It was unexpected, slightly edgy, and completely brilliant.

  • Tom’s Dapper Tie Upgrade: Tom brought the ultimate gentleman energy in a sharp burgundy suit, but his tie accessory stole the show. Pinned right to his Windsor knot was a one-of-a-kind masterpiece by heritage jewelers Pragnell. This wasn’t just any pin; the spider featured articulated gold legs, ruby fangs, diamond eyes, and a massive 5.114-carat Australian black opal body. The kicker? A rare blue-green diamond head meant to symbolize Peter Parker’s radioactive spider bite. Talk about commitment to the bit.

The Brooch is Officially Back

If you thought brooches were reserved for your grandmother’s vintage coat, think again. By placing them in unconventional spots—like the small of the back or right on a tie knot—Zendaya and Tom just gave the classic accessory a modern, youthful revival.

It’s safe to say the arachnid aesthetic is officially the chicest trend of the season.
