Coro Hotel’s New Art Exhibit Features A Rare Pia Wurtzbach Portrait

By Emily Opida

Amidst the countless hotels on Kalayaan Avenue in Poblacion, Makati City is a haven that offers a rejuvenating place to stay, intertwined with the access to immersion in thought-provoking art, inspiring culture, and timeless style & beauty.

A fairly new establishment, Coro Hotel already sits on its laurels with its world-class hospitality and topnotch amenities as a charming boutique hotel amidst Poblacion– visited and booked by tourists from various parts of the world. A hub of arts, beauty, style, and culture, it is easy to see why it is distinctive option among its segment competitors.

Today is another day of arts, culture and beauty at Coro Hotel as this haven is set to unveil another art exhibit later.

Tanggulan” is an art presentation by Niccolo Cosme, a respected creative director and photographer in the Philippine fashion and lifestyle scene.

Tanggulan” features a compelling storytelling, meshed beautifully with an advocacy-driven visual expression. The art pieces explore themes of resilience, identity, and social consciousness.

“Art adds depth, emotion, and storytelling to a luxury space, transforming it into more than just a destination. It creates a multi-sensory experience, offering guests something unique, personal, and memorable,” Harry Male, sales manager of Coro Hotel, shared in an interview with STYLISH.

Cosme’s latest art showcase highlights silent yet emotion-stirring paintings based on portraits, using deep colors of red — as the paintings were drawn from real blood.

The overall art concept is meant to add layers of drama and mystique, making you see courage and bravery as an energy that draws you in, calls to your curiosity, and inspires you to dig deep on how you perceive and take in the definition of such themes.

“Tanggulan” will be unveiled in a simple launch event later today at the lobby space of Coro Hotel, and will be showcased until third week of April.

Early guests will have exclusive access to view the select pieces from the art exhibit and support the cause in the form of donations for HIV advocacy efforts, before the showcase runs its full three-week course.

The most exciting gift of art amongst all these?

The art collection also includes an exclusive portrait of Miss Universe 2015 titleholder Pia Wurtzbach, deemed as one of the most famous crown-holders in the history of the pageant, ever.

The subject’s rich cultural contribution to the Philippines and international pageant scene makes the art portrait a valuable collectible– especially to those who are huge fans of art, beauty, style, and pageants. Join the introductory event later for an exclusive look of the art portrait of the beauty queen and global fashion influencer, as interpreted by the artistry of Cosme.

Aside from immersion in art, beauty and style, guests are also going to enjoy premier wine and drinks by Spirits Merchant Inc..

As a lifestyle hotel, Coro is dedicated to giving unique and enriching curated experiences to its clientele, with the magic of art, culture, beauty, and style.

The boutique lifestyle hotel actively develops meaningful partnerships with artists, cultural organizations, and advocacy groups to inspire, motivate, and educate so that guests can then indulge in distinct experiences and new wisdom in a cultured setting.

Coro Hotel overall positions itself as the metro’s new haven of creative expression, as well as a paradise to foster connections between artists and the public.

Through its commitment to arts, beauty, style, and culture, Coro Hotel transforms every simple stay into a transformative experience. A Coro stay is easily a quick urban escape, be it an artsy and cultured kind, made more special with special access to more touching conversations with collaborators, a setting of the start of game-changing creative expressions, and lasting purposeful connections– the kind of overall experience that indeed lingers.
