Tory Burch’s New Collab with BonBon Is a Fashion Sugar Rush

By Dara Clariza Evangelista

Tory Burch has always had a flair for the unexpected, but her latest collaboration is straight out of a candy jar. In a delightful twist, the designer has partnered with BonBon, a Swedish candy company based in New York, for a limited-edition capsule that reimagines Tory Burch icons through the flavors, colors, and textures of Scandinavian sweets.

The result? A technicolor dream dipped in nostalgia, playfulness, and literal sugar sparkle.

At the heart of the Tory Burch x BonBon collection are reinterpreted classics. The iconic Miller sandal and mini Fleming hobo are rendered in glistening “sugar” beading, mimicking the shimmer of BonBon’s sour gummies. Soft, puffy versions of the Miller and Kira Sport sandals arrive in candy-colored shades like banana, strawberry, and vanilla, paying tribute to Sweden’s signature marshmallows.

And in perhaps the sweetest touch, Tory Burch introduces limited-edition jewelry and charms inspired by her personal favorite BonBon candies—from salty licorice twists to sour fish and chewy rings. Each piece radiates whimsy and detail, designed not just to wear but to make you smile.

Even the packaging doesn’t hold back. Custom dust bags and boxes come in BonBon’s signature cotton-candy pink and pastel blue, making each unboxing feel like tearing into a bag of pick-and-mix. It’s a full sensory experience, grounded in joy, childhood memories, and design excellence.

“This beautiful collection showcases the authentic colors and textures only found in Swedish candy,” says BonBon co-founder Selim Adira. “Each piece reflects our motto that growing up is a trap. Candy is an important part of Swedish culture and history. It’s personal; the whole fun of the pick-and-mix is trying different flavors.”

Though the collaboration is BonBon’s first foray into product design, it comes from a long-standing friendship. Tory Burch discovered BonBon back in 2018—before its first shop had even opened in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Since then, the brand’s iconic pastel pink candy bag, filled with an explosion of sour, sweet, and salty treats imported straight from Sweden, has become a signature gift from Tory herself.

“It’s always in the office during New York Fashion Week,” the brand shared, hinting at just how integrated BonBon has become in the designer’s creative rituals.

This isn’t the first time Tory has featured BonBon in her world. In 2021, the brand was part of her Spring/Summer 2022 fashion show, a vibrant outdoor block party that brought together small businesses—cafés, restaurants, and shops—to celebrate the city’s revival in a post-pandemic world. Including BonBon in this show was more than a gesture of appreciation; it was a nod to the communal spirit and sensory delight that both Tory Burch and BonBon embrace.

Founded in 2017 by three Swedish friends—Selim Adira, Robert Persson, and Leonard Schaltz—BonBon has quietly revolutionized America’s candy scene. Their entire assortment is imported directly from Sweden, featuring a dizzying array of pick-and-mix candies alongside in-house favorites like Sour Fish and Salty Licorice Twists.

With five stores across New York and Brooklyn and a booming online shop, BonBon has become both a cult favorite and a cultural reference in lifestyle spaces. Their cheeky motto, “Growing up is a trap,” is as likely to be seen on TikTok as it is quoted in trend pieces about millennial joy.

Now, that mantra comes to life through fashion.

In the Philippines, Tory Burch is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. and is located at Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s Cebu, and NUSTAR Cebu.
