If you’re into the bridal fashion scene, you know that December is the new wedding month.
If you’re a bride-to-be or simply taking fashion notes for your most romantic day down the aisle, breathe in some inspo from these unconventional looks from the recent bridal runway shows in Manila that the Stylish Magazine team was able to cover.
The Courthouse Wedding
Sidney Sio was inspired by New York City and its energy in his newest modern bridal collection for the “Say Yes” fashion show by Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Manila. He reimagined the suitable bridal fashion for a chic, romantic courthouse wedding– a serene white pantsuit matched with a floor-length veil and a floral hat on top, and a cool sunglass for extra drama.

Sunglass is also a cool accessory in another city hall bridal look by Sidney Sio. With a straight-cut, long-sleeved white dress topped off with a crocheted shawl, this nonchalant look for a civil wedding still exuded romance, but the laidback kind.

Who says you can’t go all out with your ballgown during your civil wedding?

Modernize your traditional ballgown bridal look with a voguish wrapped-around veil.

Sidney Sio truly incorporated the vibrant yet laidback urban energy of New York City in this bridal collection.
Filipina and Feminine
Catherine Cavilte went for Filipina sensibilities and demure femininity for her “Tadhana” fashion show in Manila Hotel as organized by Wedding Essentials Magazine.

This mermaid-like bridal Filipiniana gown with butterfly sleeves gave off an elegant simplicity.
A strapped wedding dress with intricate appliques will never go out of style.

Dramatic details on your gown’s hem and sleeves paired with a high-slit skirt might be a little risky for a wedding dress, but the sultry feminine energy in this was inspiring.

Catherine Cavilte understands what a woman likes, obviously.
Carrie Bradshaw
“My inspiration for my bridal creations for Holiday Inn Manila’s ‘Say Yes’ runway show was fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and The City. The capsule collection was meant for the fashion-forward and unconventional #RAMIROBride,” Ron Ramiro shared about his bridal looks.

“We are showcasing in our pieces our signature hand-made 3D flowers and hand-embellished with beadworks and pearls,” he added.
Regal Goddess
AJ Javier was going for regal, goddess-like creations suitable for the elegant bride.
This dress with a flirty flowy skirt and a sophisticated crocheted top, matched with metal head accessory is for the majestic, uncomplicated bride.

The intricate beading of this sheer tube bridal dress, with a note-worthy sweep trail is for the bride who loves subtle, effortless lavisheness.

This AJ Javier bridal creation, a tube top balloon dress, is also for the unassuming, opulent bride.
So Extra
If you’re any other thing except traditional, this sheer bodysuit topped off with a long floral veil by Jot Losa is a bridal look only a few can pull off. The creation was from the 15th anniversary runway collection called “Pangako” as presented at San Juan City Hall recently.

This feathery wedding gown with an exaggerated fringed oversized hat is for the drama queen. This Yeye Pantaleon bridal creation was from his “Winter Wedlock” 2025 collection during the “Tadhana” runway presentation at Manila Hotel.

With these unconventional take on bridal gowns, your fitting day can be as memorable as your wedding day itself.
