By Olivia Sylvia Estrada

Fashion gals in the Philippines have a lot of new drops from labels to shop from. We’ve gathered here the latest releases and updates in the fashion scene in Manila we think you’d love.

Keds Presents Barbie Capsule Collection

Keds says Barbie fever is forever. The beloved shoe brand launched the Keds x Barbie collection, featuring three pairs reflecting the doll’s quintessential style.

The first two styles feature Keds latest silhouette that has a pointed toe.

The Point Striped pair honors Barbie’s debut swimsuit when she first hit the shelves in 1959. The look was also seen in the 2023 box office hit.

On the other hand, the Point Metallic Leather is an iridescent gold pair that is nothing short of eye-catching. It has a “B” lace keeper.

A Barbie collection wouldn’t be complete without pink. The Triple Up Metallic Leather Lace Up gives you that striking pink that matches the Barbie accessories. It will make you feel like a doll with its thick platform soles—completing that ’90s to early aughts popstar vibe.

American Sandal Brand Teva Lands in the Philippines

Teva, known for its origins in the Grand Canyon, United States and a legacy spanning four decades, has officially opened a standalone store in the Philippines at Gateway Mall 2.

The move signifies a milestone for Teva, which has primarily been available in multi-brand stores across the country until now.

“Teva, compared to other sandals brands, is a performance footwear. It is not just for looking good or matching your outfit. It is for your active lifestyle. Right now, there are two official Teva stores in Manila – one here in Gateway Mall, the other is in Greenhills. Both are already open. In 2025, we hope to expand as the brand grows,” shared Bea Madrid, Teva Marketing Manager.

The Philippines, with its robust tourism sector, offers a wealth of possibilities for outdoor adventures such as hiking and beach trips. With this in mind, Teva’s approach to marketing is not just about traditional amplification. “It is really grassroots,” Madrid emphasized.

“We want to connect to the local communities that can represent the brand well and could vouch for the performance aspect of it. How durable the soles are. How comfortable the straps can be and how they are able to tackle their challenging obstacles and trails with the brand.”

The store at Gateway Mall 2 features a diverse range of Teva products, from basic and classic colors to vibrant and festive straps that cater to a variety of personal styles. “What is trendy now really depends on the person’s preferred style,” said Madrid. “Teva is widely used for events like music festivals or waterparks. We want to be there for that type of adventure and cater to their needs.”

Teva offers classic, vibrant and festive designs.
